FAQ

How do I care for my sweater?

The most gentle option is to hand wash and allow the item to air dry, but we know not everyone has time for that. If you do choose to machine wash, we recommend the following:

1. Turn the item inside out to protect the embroidery.

2. Try to not wash the item with other clothing that might cause damage, such as zippers or buttons.

3. Choose a mild detergent. if possible, allow the item to air dry. This will prevent any shrinking that might occur.

4. If the embroidery features bright colors, a gentle wash in cold water can reduce the chance of colors bleeding.

Additional care instructions from our supplier:

COMFORT COLORS- comfort colors brand sweatshirts are garment dyed and have specific washing instructions. These instructions are taken directly from the comfort colors website:

"Always wash separately before wearing to avoid bleeding issues. Due to the nature of the dyeing process employed with Comfort Colors® pigment dyed shades, loose pigments may remain on the surface of the garments even after the first wash. We therefore strongly recommend washing these garments only with like-colored garments, as some of the pigment dyes may stain light-or white-colored garments in the wash cycle. Washing the garments in cold water will reduce the possibility of staining. Shade variations are inherent in the garment dyeing process. Our garments are pre-shrunk during the garment dye and wash processes for almost no shrinkage at home. Pigment dye colors These colors provide a vintage look that will remain for the life of the garment. Reactive dye colors Provide a traditional dyed appearance, with the same great softness."
